Playcalling - yet you see the Cuse game with the 2nd ranked defense in the conference. Seems like this was the first week he focused on the offense, not the defense. We see a big switch in success on which side of the football? I'll agree that I haven't always been a fan of the jet sweeps to the short side, etc.

Recruiting had effectively 2 down years - accentuated by a small class. Ranks were mid 20s the first 3 years (basically same as Beamer) then 76 (small class) and 41. 41 was with staff changes and focus hures on in state recruiting but Covid stopped rebuikding those in person relationships. Fast forward and this class is shaping up very nicely.

HH is the same player he was - but in a faster paced offense - and Huepel is a good offensive coach. I don't see any development difference between HH here and HH there. Stats are better...but no development differences (given I'm no QB coach). The other players would be? NESTER? Maybe Hudson...hadn't kept up with him. Can't name any that succeeded off the top of my head.

Last - I totally agree that our teams have looked well softer in the last decade than they did during the building our name seasons from 95 to the mid to late 2000s. Especially in the trenches.
